CCVI = 2006??? I don’t know my roman numerals.

This will be a good year! Like my good friend Marshall claims, "the year of milestones", I’m excited for it. 2005 was awesome too — saw Vegas, So-Cal, NYC, Boston. Nailed an internship making illustration for boobjob procedures over the summer.. Now that’s not what everybody gets to do! And, of course, in 2005 I met my special someone. *sigh* *eye flutter*

Initial goal for me this past winter break was to learn to drive stick shift. But, I’ve instead gained skills in cooking and benchpressing (what the guys in da house do all the time), and doing dishes (what they DON’T do all the time). Ok ok they do.. very rarely..
And I interned at a big downtown rescue mission doing graphic design. Volunteering for a cause is so fulfilling, it’s like I’m trying to give but I end up receiving all the time.

NYC and Boston trips were a lotta fun with the group (Ka, Nop, Li, Aud, Dy, Zan, Ford, Yuz).

Highlights were meeting up with close people I hadn’t seen in a looong time, like my high school friend, the Bostonian Tasia (5 yrs), and my New Yorker cousins (10+ yrs). All three of them look absolutely gorgeous! They probably thought the same thing about me, heheheh..

When in Quincy, MA, I was craving cocktail so bad that David and I went to this restaurant which had a redneck karaoke bar instead of a peaceful "Lounge" as it said on their sign. Cocktails tasting like tap water were served in small plastic "toy" glasses. It was as ghetto as could be.

Fortunately, we’ve had better cocktails since then. And who would’ve known that my quest for lychee martinis ended all the way up here in Pennsylvania! Blue Pacific restaurant RULES!

Speaking about alkie, I’ve got a response to those of you who think I’m a future Alcoholics Anonymous member:

New Years Eve in downtown Lancaster blew me away. These Lancasterians probably spent half their tax money on fireworks. Those babies were awesome! I’d never seen anything like it. They’re huge and they went on for like half an hour or so. David and I took a salsa lesson as part of the festivities leading up to the countdown!

After the New Years, David and everybody else left, and so it was just me and the guys of Marietta, PA. It was like MTV Real World… without the hard partying. (The most controversial item in the house was the Grey Goose vodka Marshall and I bought.) Here’s a trivia: What do a houseful of computer guys do in every bit of their spare time? Answer is: WARCRAFT. And since I was not part of that community, I filled my spare time watching Lost DVDs Season 1 like an obsessed woman.

Can you spot the poor little Persecuted Panda?

Actually they really took care of me. I wished to stay longer, but the world awaited me. Besides, it was time for me to stop going to sleep at 3am and waking up at 3pm.

My senior art show was the first weekend after classes started! I enjoyed the moment of fame and recognition. Finally people were able to know what I’ve been doing this whole time! (They used to think I hybernated during semesters.) Pictures are available at www.beachpanda.shutterly.com.
