So I thought I’d seen Cali, right. And then I left Bakersfield.

Awesome places and awesomer people! Went with Lukas, my Bakersfield pal, who drove and almost got us in a wreck once or twice. Stayed at Irene’s, who’s Lukas’s friend who’s super duper nice who’s now my friend becos we breathe in the same atmosphere level (meaning we’re both little). And then by some awful fate I got to meet David and Kurt, the hilarious duo.. But David treated us to Korean barbeque and Kurt treated us Vietnamese food, so I’m cool with them. hahaha

At Guppy’s with a pretty humongous dessert. It’s actually shaved ice with lotsa fruits. But I almost lost control of myself when I saw that iceberg.

Then it’s off to church in the morning. If I do end up living in Cali, I’ma goin to Newsong. Stellar message and worship!

Last week was a funny week. Of course I wasn’t involved in any of it. Location: Quiet Boring In-the-middle-of-nowhere Amish Town in Pennsylvania. Characters: Farid Widjaya and Timothy Tantra. Support acts: Anton Lioe and Ronny Rahardjo.

One quiet afternoon.

Timo called me up and we talked a bit since he hadn’t started work yet, that bum. We were talking and he told me about Anton’s rinkydink cellphone not getting any reception. Anton’s ticked at Ronny for tricking him into buying it from him. So me and Timo laughed at Anton’s misfortune. Timo laughed louder, though.
Then he was leaving to pick up his parents from WalMart, so we hung up.
I got online and met Farid, who is Timo’s housemate and surrogate father. We chatted for five minutes before I told him that I had just got off the phone with Timo. Farid went, “Did he tell you about the accident?” I was like, “WHAT ACCIDENT??!?!”
Apparently, on the way to WalMart Timo nodded off and sent the car right into a pole. No worries cos nobody got hurt except for the side mirror, which got dismantled bad. Timo had called Farid to ask for the nearest auto shop. And Farid’s online talking to me. I was pretty lucky. So I called Timo rightaway just to annoy him. Timo’s like, “How’d you find out about it? It JUST happened!!” I should go work for a newspaper or something, right. So I kinda laughed at him, telling him that karma does exist and that he should stop making fun of Anton’s cellphone.
By the way, Farid kinda made fun of Timo because of this whole thing.

The day following.

Farid was chillin’ at the house. (Know where I’m heading with this?)
He decided to get some fresh air so he stepped out to the back deck of the second floor. The window doors locked behind him automatically (you know, just in case Farid forgot to lock it or something. Dunno how them housebuilders think nowadays.) So Farid was locked outside his own house on a balcony way up in the sky. After 20 minutes of nothing really happening besides the birds chirping, Farid decided to jump down. So he did and bust his ankle and limped around for several days.

Timo is still laughing about this. I think I could FALL DOWN SOME BALCONY laughing, too.
